Delete your Bottle Hound account

This page explains how to delete your Bottle Hound account and associated personal data. You can do this in the app, or request deletion from the web if you no longer have the app installed.

Request deletion (web)

Email us from the address on your Bottle Hound account. We will verify ownership and complete deletion.

Request account deletion by email

Or write to support@bottlehoundapp.com with the subject line “Bottle Hound account deletion request” and include the email address used for your account.

We typically process verified requests within 7 days. You will receive a confirmation when deletion is complete.

Delete in the app (fastest)

1. Open Bottle Hound and sign in.
2. Go to the Account tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm the deletion.

Deletion from the app takes effect immediately for your personal data (see below).

What is deleted

• Account profile fields (email, display name)
• Unicorn / wishlist items
• Push notification tokens
• Premium entitlement flags on your account record
• Open content reports you filed (closed/dismissed)

What may be retained

• Community finds. Availability reports you logged stay in the shared map for other hunters, but are anonymized (your user identity is removed from the report).
• Photos attached to finds. Hunter photos may remain on those anonymized reports so the community still has useful shelf/bar context. They are no longer linked to your account.
• Legal / security records. We may retain limited records if required by law or to prevent abuse (for example fraud investigations), for as long as necessary.

Subscriptions (Hound Premium)

Deleting your Bottle Hound account does not automatically cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Cancel Premium in your store settings first (or after):

• Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Bottle Hound
• Apple: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Bottle Hound
